On behalf of the Eastern Carolina Division of the March of Dimes and Presenting Sponsor, Tekelec, we would like to thank you for serving as a volunteer for the 2009 5K Run for Healthier Babies. The 5K Run and 1 mile Fun Run was a wonderful experience for all involved and your role helped to make this possible.


This year’s Run for Babies registered 455 runners, helping to raise a record breaking $62,500 for the March of Dimes! Each person, from the runners, to the sponsors, to the event day volunteers, plays an integral role in helping us to achieve this success and for this we are extremely grateful.


Volunteers are a vital part of the March of Dimes success; they form the backbone of each event we produce. The 5K Run for Healthier Babies could not be the exciting, enjoyable, successful event that it is without both your enthusiasm and willingness to help. 


You should have received an electronic invite for a volunteer luncheon at Tekelec’s Auditorium on Thursday, November 5, 2009. If you have not received it yet, please let me know. We want everyone who helped with this great event to share the success of our race. Please attend and enjoy some delicious food as our thank you for your vital contribution to this event.
